The Pursuit Of Happiness - Entry #335

Had another great fifth of July. You may remember my post last year about the fun fourth of July celebration on the fifth with Lauren at her dad's girlfriends country club. Well we were invited back this year and had another great night of food, airbrushed tattoos (I may have gotten a little carried away this year), dancing, fireworks, and people.


Lauren and I got an awesome golf cart ride (it was my first time) from our car to the course. We met up with her dad and his girlfriend where we scoped out what was going on and I found the giant chocolate chunk cookies to start eating. We chatted for a but before grabbing a ton of dinner consisting of hotdogs, hamburgers, corn, and various salads. And my night was made when I spotted the person out of 1,000 people with the most amazing pants of the night, who hilariously ended up being seated out our table


Everything was pretty delicious and I may have eaten way too many cookies. Next was the airbrushed tattoos. We waited in line and decided what we wanted…x3. I got flowers on my leg, a giraffe behind my ear, and a dragonfly on my wrist. Lauren contained herself and got only one, an awesome goldfish on foot.



They had the obstacle course from last year but we opted out because Lauren didn't want to hurt herself again. I think she was just scared to lose to me again, especially because I came prepared with obstacle course clothes this time rather then a skirt :P. Then we danced it up some…had to work off the cookies somehow and waited for fireworks which had an awesome finale. It was a ton of fun and a great way to end the Independence Day festivities.
