The Pursuit Of Happiness: 2.122
Hanukkah transitions and it's a wonderful time of year. There is no way you can't smile at least once a day with all the holiday cheer and decorations floating around. Tonights holiday celebration and spirit began with the discovery of Google Santa Village.Next was a Hanukkah dinner as a gift to our Executive Director. We went to Joey Chui's where all the food was fabulous, especially the sushi, and I ate way too much.
From there Brenden and my mom met me so we could see the famed, Hampden Miracle on 34th Street Christmas lights. They were definitely over the top and completely worth seeing at least once in your life. I wanted to take all the pictures and make the memories last.
Since we were in Hampden, I had to stop and introduce Brenden and my mom to The Charmery. Possibly my favorite ice cream shop. Seriously, baby scoops, it's like they based the store off of my life. I got a combination flavors: PB&J, speculoos, sweet potato, and bagel & cream cheese. It sounds strange, but it was great; don't knock it till you've tried it. I also sampled the cheesy fries flavor. Brenden got a holiday inspired whisk eggnog, and my mom got the most chocolatey ice cream they had. So good.
When we got home, we were inspired and excitedly decorated our own table tree (now that Hanukkah is officially over the Hanukkah bush has transformed into our Christmas tree). And we are so happy with it. It looks so, so great, if I say so myself. The lights, our ornaments, and Brenden's special touch of adding out homemade snow people onto the tree as filler. I'm obsessed.
Brenden also gifted me the last of my Hanukkah presents (since he was working nights all week and I was sleeping before he got home every time). Two pandora charms for my bracelet!! From the Cinderella collection!!! OMG! Seriously. Okay, I'll stop now. But, :D!!! And, a make your own sushi kit plus an awesome phone charger. He's too good to me!
