The Pursuit Of Happiness: 2.164
Snow -- day five.Food, food, and more food. Another day off for the two of us gave Brenden and I the opportunity to eat, eat, eat.
First we enjoyed lunch out, at a restaurant week participant. We (I) chose Baldwin's Station, a cute little place that once was a train station(!). The place overlooks a still running train track, and, if you are lucky, you will get to experience a train go by while dining. We didn't see a moving train while we ate, but the ambiance and decor was still amazing.
Later we indulged some more, by using our new found time to cook like we used to. We made perfectly juicy burgers (thanks to Brenden), topped with havarti cheese and seasoned sweet potato "fries," (frying is not my strong point, but they tasted was delicious even if they weren't truly crispy) in between a garlic butter toasted bun (inspired by howsweeteats.com, BBQ Havarti Burgers). So delicious.
I love food.
