Thirty Before 30!

To the one or two pairs of eyes (or spambots) that have been checking in on this blog each day while I have gone silent, thank you. I am not going to say "I'm back!" or make any false promises of series/posts to come. I am taking this blogging thing post by post, but at the moment I am excited to be writing in my little corner of the inter-world, again.

Today marks the 30 day countdown until my birthday, where I will be turning the big 3-0, woah! Really 30 is just a number--I don't feel like I am about to be 30-years-old, at least I don't feel how I thought I would feel when turning 30. It's not really a big deal, right?! Well, if you ever had a thought different from society, let them chew you up and spit you out until you conform. I still don't think it is a big deal (at least when the big day is still a month away--I'll let you know if that changes on February 9), but I have let society influence me a bit, as I have created a "Thirty Before 30" bucket list.

To be honest, it isn't only about turning 30. There are a lot of things going on in my life; life moves quickly, and over the last several years I have come to realize no one is going make things happen in my life except me. But, why not let the looming day of turning 30 be the launch pad. Thus, I have created my own little challenge. I am not only doing 30 things, but I am doing one (or two) each day in the 30 days leading up to turning 30. These aren't the generic items you would find in a googled list of "30 things to do before turning 30." These are tailored to my interests, big and small; they are things I have been wanting to do and that excite me. Of course, with a 30 day time limit I couldn't fit in everything I have on my to-do list, but let's save that for my 40 before 40 post, as the main goal is to start doing things I have put off for way too long.

Follow along with me (instagram, if not here) as I attempt to do everything on my list, and I countdown to turning 30! See what I have in store:
