The Pursuit Of Happiness: 2.43
Road trip day 6, began with the Lakes Region Triathlon, on Newfound Lake, in Wellington State Park in Bristol, NH. It was the hardest triathlon I have ever done, with the best/most pleasant swim. The lake was clean and clear and you could see to the bottom, until it got to beep to see all the way down. I was the first female out of the water and finished the swim 6th or 7th overall. My full triathlon results were not quite as good, but I completed it, and in one peice. And, I got a medal! After the triathlon we grabbed some food and unexpectedly met Bristol's famous Diane the Turtle.
We then made our way to Vermont - our last over night stop - where we of course pit-stopped for a Ben and Jerry's factory tour before heading to our amazingly funky bed and breakfast in Burlington. And, we ended the night eating way too much Vermont food samplings, walking around, and watching the lunar eclipse from the "tower" of the b&b.
