Aftermath:
In light of project two, I figured I would practice my sequencing by briefly describing my experience at my first triathlon this weekend. I know most of you heard I was competing, and in case anyone is interested I decided I would give you all an update through my blog. I completed the race in 2:18:37. I placed 237th overall, I was 1st to finish the swim in my wave (first timers); 11th overall first timer; 2nd female first timer, and 6th in my age group. While I was completely terrified going it to it and somewhat miserable during parts of it (I kept myself going during the bike by humming lady gaga - no music players allowed, and my legs killed during the first mile of the run. I just kept telling myself you can run as slow as you want, but you will not walk; you will not stop), I will definitely being doing another triathlon. It was a lot of fun and a great experience.
Pictures from the event:
Done the swim (with sand all over my face apparently - didn't notice that until after the after party ha) |
