The Pursuit Of Happiness: 2.227

A successful day in Brooklyn and LES. So many walls. So much food. I love it all. Here are a few (OK a bunch) of my faves from today. The Pursuit Of Happiness: 2.175
Such a fun day, and I am so proud of myself for making it happen! I navigated Baltimore on my own to attend a letterpress Valentine's Day card making workshop, held by Baltimore Print Studios. I have been wanting to go there for at least a year, and I finally made it. Naturally, I can't wait to go back and take the class they offer, to learn so much more. The studio and experience were unique and colorful. I love the cards I made, even though V-day is probably my least favorite holiday. And bonus, BPS instagramed one of my cards as one of their favorites from the day! Woot, woot, that was such a confidence boost for me, and made me feel like my design skills are on par.
The fun didn't stop there. Baltimore Restaurant Week was extended due, to the snow a couple weeks ago, and so I tried a restaurant. I have been wanting to try so many of the participating places, and I figured being in Baltimore, this was my chance even if I was alone. Again, I made my way through Baltimore, and reached the Lebanese Taverna with ease. It was so worth it! I got the falafel platter and pumpkin kibbeh combo they offered for the occasion. Omg. I will definitely be going back. The hummus; the pita with za'atar seasoned oil; the kibbeh, everything -- amazing! I will definitely being going back, and bringing Brenden along. Also, I am so incorporating za'atar into everything I make from now on (okay, probably not everything, as you'll figure in my next paragraph, but certainly a lot of my staples). I will let you know how it goes!
Finally, Brenden and I made a cake. Well we are making a cake. And it is going to be fabulous. It is late and we have to let it cool before frosting, so pictures on that tomorrow. The cake pieces we tried after leveling were so delicious. I can hardly wait to take a slice of the final product tomorrow.

So excited to have received my push pin map tonight! I have ben wanting this for forever. And it is so nice. Now to start pinning and hang it up for the world to see (or maybe just anyone who comes to my apartment). The Pursuit Of Happiness: 2.84
A very chill day: testing my new make up | picking up my race packet at the expo for the 10K Across the Bay tomorrow | taking pictures of the street art in Annapolis; chickens everywhere | eating brunch/lunch at Miss. Shirley's (I've been wanting to try Miss. Shirley's for months, and it lived up to my expectations -- those biscuits, mmm!) | walking around downtown Annapolis, enjoying cookies and sweets and postcardsThe Pursuit Of Happiness: 2.78
A roadtrip to NYC to visit my cousin Geri, watch the NYC Marathon, get makeovers at Macy's, walk the High Line, look at street art, and eat delicious food including falafel and sushi. A packed day of fun, what's not to like?!The Pursuit Of Happiness: 2.32
So much good today:1. Good early morning swim with a pretty sunrise.
2. Awesome hand-colored, princess castle postcard arrived in the mail from a friend.
3. Cute beard combs and brushes.
4. Killed it at the run, bike, run in the evening - I was three minutes faster at the second run then last week!

Unexpected artwork is the best. A bit of midday inspiration, during the usual walk-during-lunch-at-work, is just what I needed. The Pursuit Of Happiness - Entry #365
I have been sitting in front of my computer for a few days now (okay 5), trying to think of the perfect Pursuit Of Happiness entry. I know I could have thrown up my standard quote or happy thought, but I am at post #365, and I felt this one had to be perfect, or at least have a bit more pa-zazz. After all, post #365 does mean I have completed a full year of happiness and I feel that deserves reflecting. So I am sorry for the pause in my routine posting, and I hope that I can make it up to you with this special year end reflection.![]() |

For those who are curious in the days I missed:
This weekend consisted of a very happy five year old celebrating her birthday and an amazing group who have been friends since they were five, having a 'last hurrah' at a bachelorette party. Yesterday was filled with good weather for swimming and biking.
