The Pursuit Of Happiness: Week in Review

Saturday (306)
I almost forgot I how much I love paddle boarding. It's my favorite. Which do you prefer, a SUP or kayak?

It was the perfect summer day: on the water during the day and by a bonfire in the evening. Jeff V. and I went to our favorite Annapolis paddle boarding shop and went on the river for an hour. I was super nervous about falling in, as I haven't gone out on a SUP in almost a year, but after about three minutes I was carefree. Of course I still didn't want to fall in, but the water was perfect, so it wouldn't be a tragedy if I did. We first tried to paddle out towards the bay, but when we both almost fell off one too many time we decided to turn around and wait until we had more experience this season to venture out there. Instead we paddled back the way we came enjoying the sun, scenery, and calm water.

The rest of the evening was filled with food and relaxation. Jeff and I worked up an appetite, so we stopped at a small greek place where I gouged myself on greek potato skin gyro apps, hummus, greek salad, and spinach pie. Later that evening Brenden and I headed to DJ's to enjoy a cookout dinner with her, Shane, Lauren and Anna, followed by a bonfire complete with s'mores. After all, what is a bonfire without the roasted marshmallows? #summergoals

The Pursuit Of Happiness - Entry #342

Tonight I got to hang out with some of my bestests and oldest buds at DJ and Shanes brand new house! There house is so great and cute and I am so excited for them. We enjoyed a campfire in their new backyard made with the dozens of boxes they have piled up from moving. And of course we enjoyed some delicious s'mores made with the biggest marshmallow I have ever found.
