The Pursuit of Happiness : 2.210

Happy 5th anniversary to Brenden and me. What a day, I can't believe it has already been five years (mostly because that means I graduated college five years ago)! Brenden and I worked hard to make a malted nutella and cookie butter brownie layer cake to celebrate. We also treated ourselves to some fantastic cookware from Willams-Sonoma that we have been dreaming of (and some splurges that we just liked): an ice cream attachment for the kitchen aid, a wok, a candy thermometer and zester, and a set of four beautifully decorated plates (that we ate our cake off of). Then we splurged on some godiva chocolates and a night out for dinner at Ironbridge Wine Co. Everything was delicious, the company of course was wonderful, and our five year celebration was perfect.

I'm excited that I am excited to start celebrating my birthday! And, I am super happy that Brenden was totally down to going to The Melting Pot to kick off the celebrating, for an early birthday dinner (less then 12 hours until I'm 27, crazy)! The food was all so delicious, as usual, and we gobbled it all down. I was super pumped to try new things this year (yes, we pretty much only go once a year, twice tops). We got a french onion cheese fondue which was oh so tasty and scrumptious, followed by our entree which we chose a miso broth cooking style for. Omg, fabulous; it was just the right amount of everything, flavor and spice that complimented but didn't overpower the meat and veggies. And, we finished the night off with the flaming turtle chocolate. My stomach is so full, but my taste buds are screaming more, more; it was that good. We finished the night off watching a new episode of one of our favorite shows, The 100, as I continued the countdown to midnight. But really until I wake up at five in the morning because I have an early bedtime and definitely don't stay up until midnight anymore (unless it's NYE...maybe).

Brenden took me on a date :). To see a special movie showing he wanted to see. But the date was great and the movie was entertaining.

We got pizza at this place, Slice, I am now obsessed with (it is probably for the best we live almost an hour away from the place). They have make your own slices and I built the most expensive slice ever, with all the toppings because I have poor decision making skills, and it was fantastic and so, so delicious. Not only that, but it was cooked perfectly, just the way we (Brenden) like it, with a crispy, crunchy crust.

Then we had Cold Stone where I mixed gingerbread ice cream with hot cocoa and marshmallow ice cream. OMG, heaven. Again, with the poor decision making skills, I added three mix-ins: graham cracker crumbs, peanut butter, and cookie dough. My tummy is so happy.

Next we walked over to the movie, Lazer Team. It was playing tonight only, at select theaters and Brenden managed to snag two tickets. It was pretty good, comical, and best of all, I loved that Brenden loved it!

Happy to see Brenden so excited when I surprised him with tickets the Ravens vs 49ers game. It was the first game of the season and Brenden's first time seeing his team live. Although I don't love football, I had an enjoyable time with great weather, a fun game, tons of junk food and a very happy boyfriend.

Tonight, Brenden and I celebrated three years of each other (3.13.11). We ate a delicious meal of sushi with drinks, mmm. And then we headed off to paint :). I painted a jar/bowl with silicon top and Brenden painted a giant mug - though not the biggest (more pictures to come once we pick them up from being fired and glazed).

Lunch out and dinner in with Brendo :).

Yummy tunna melts at Goldbergs Bagels.

And I quote, "Best tuna melt ever!"
A tasty pasta with vodka sauce and onions with sourdough garlic bread, while we watched "We're The Millers," which was a fantastic movie.

Yummy in our tummies!

Had a yummy lunch of Chick-fil-a when Brenden visited me and brought it to my work today. He also brought me a Hanukkah present for the last day :). He surprised me by getting me a microwavable s'more maker, eek!!! So excited, I freaking loveee s'mores!! Mmmm! It makes two at a time and I can't wait to try it and whip some up for him and me when he comes over next.

Jealous?! You can get your own here.

Another wonderful night spent with Brendo: eating dinner that he made me based on one of our previous and delicious date night recipes, watching The Internship, doing homework, and simply hanging out with each other :).

The two of us, together, forever? :)

Can you say Hunger Games: Catching Fire?!?! Yep, went to see that today with my bubba. We shared popcorn and a white cherry icee. Yumm. I thought it was a really good movie and fun date :).
